ABOUT FALKEN TYRES

FROM RACING TO THE ROAD

Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is the European subsidiary of the Japanese tyre manufacturer Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., the sixth largest tyre manufacturer worldwide, with approximately 23,000 employees. The FALKEN brand was born in 1983. In 1988 the first branch office in Offenbach am Main followed. Since then the company has marketed and sold its complete range of tyres for passenger vehicles, trucks, light trucks and SUVs to original equipment manufacturers and in the entire European aftermarket from this location. The broad product range includes summer tyres, SUV tyres, winter and all-season tyres. Among these the AZENIS FK453, which received the "highly recommended" Seal of approval from the Auto Zeitung and the ZIEX ZE914 ECORUN, which was also awarded "recommended" status by ACE and GTÜ. All FALKEN products fulfil the ISO standards 9001, 16949 and 14001. FALKEN develops and tests its tyres in the world's most demanding race series in order to achieve high-performance. FALKEN has been one of the main sponsors of the 24 hour race at the Nürburgring since 2001. In 2015 the FALKEN motorsport team successfully took the excellent 3rd place in the 911 GT3 R Porsche. However, performance, safety and reliability are not only the focus in racing, the birthplace of FALKEN tyres - FALKEN tyres also bring this high performance to the road. The tyres offer a high level of driving pleasure - with outstanding value for money. The birth of a new FALKEN tyre is generally a long process. Known parameters and experience from previous productions flow into the development as well as the latest research findings in areas such as the additives in the rubber mixture. Years of laboratory developments are complemented by the most important parameters of race tracks from around the world. Balance is the key factor in tyre development: between optimum wet performance, perfect handling on dry roads, pronounced directional stability at high speeds and, at the same time, the lowest possible wear. FALKEN has developed a perfect new product if the rolling noise is very low and the tyre confidently compensates for uneven road surfaces such as transverse grooves.
