Falken at the NUFAM commercial vehicle trade fair

The Falken tyre brand is represented with a 30 square meter stand at the NUFAM commercial vehicle trade fair in Karlsruhe from 26 to 29 September 2019. With more than 370 exhibitors and 23,000 trade visitors, NUFAM is one of the largest commercial vehicle trade fairs in Europe, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The heart of Falken's trade fair appearance will be the BI856 dual-road drive axle profile, which will be available in 15 dimensions from spring 2020. The BI856 all-season tyre is characterised by a modern drive axle profile design for local and long-distance travel and thus provides an even balance between efficiency and safety.

"We are pleased to be able to present our new addition to the portfolio in this setting", says Markus Bögner, Managing Director, COO and President at Falken Tyre Europe. "Like our other commercial vehicle tyres, the Falken BI856 is characterised by a long service life and regrooving and retreading are always possible. As a result, we are providing an economical and sustainable solution for buying tyres that goes easy on resources and your wallet."

In addition to the newcomer, other light commercial vehicle and lorry tyres will be on display, including the RI151, which has been fitted to the Liverpool FC team bus since 2017. The Falken booth can be found in the dm-Arena at booth A403.

Artificial intelligence set to improve tyre durability and performance with "Tyre Leap AI Analysis"

Falken’s parent company, Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd (SRI), has developed new technology that utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the properties of rubber and detects how structural changes, due to load and wear, will affect performance throughout a tyre’s lifecycle. The data collected through “Tyre Leap AI Analysis” will support engineers to create longer lasting tyres with more consistent performance over time and is a key element of SRI’s “SMART TYRE CONCEPT”.
