Falken equips all of Hochtaunus DRK’s emergency vehicles
“One Team, One Tyre, One Goal” is the appropriate title of a new video produced by tyre brand FALKEN and showcasing the 2018 ADAC Zurich 24h-Race held on the Nürburgring race track. The stunning footage in the three-minute video captures the challenges facing the FALKEN team, and portrays their emotions and their performance during the ADAC Zurich 24h-Race. The video immerses viewers in a grippingly authentic impression of the track, complete with cheering spectators and surrounding landscape, dramatically presented in sweeping panorama shots. In a pitstop scene, spectators become eye witnesses to a frantic tyre change while the toughest race in the world goes on around them. In addition, on-board footage conveys thrilling insights into the feel of the race.
The video is the first to use recording technology of such high quality that the film can also be shown on giant screens or on TV. Filming required the coordination of six cameras, four ATVs, a cable cam, a host of gimbal systems and a fleet of drones supplied by Falken’s technology partner, DJI. Techies may be interested to know that the film crew used RED Epic digital film cameras in 6K & 8K Raw and RED Raven in 4.5K Raw. The final total was 20 hours of raw footage or ten terabytes of data, equivalent to over 2,000 DVDs or 400 BluRays.
The film is the crown of Falken’s “One Team, One Tyre, One Goal” campaign, which formed the focus of the brand’s communication for the 24-h Race. “This year, we turned the spotlight on our FALKEN Motorsports team as a team unit. Our videos of the 24h-Race have a long tradition, and are eagerly awaited by many of our fans”, comments Markus Bögner, Managing Director and COO of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, describing the launch.
