Falken is partner of Audi Nines MTB

There’s no stopping us! Falken is continuing to support the Audi Nines and is also a sponsor of Audi Nines MTB. Held this week at Bikepark Idarkopf, the Audi Nines MTB attract the top mountain bikers to the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Competitors include Germany’s number 1, slopestyle ace Nico Scholze from Filderstadt, free rider Tobi Wrobel from Nuremberg and Lukas Knopf, slopestyler and free rider from Chemnitz. A total of 24 mountain-bike stars from nine countries will journey to this unusual setting and be captured in stunning photography of the event.

A course of 14 spectacular features awaits the athletes – including a stretch where they have to take to the water on the quarry lake. The route, designed by active mountain-bikers, will comprise a free-ride line with giant obstacles combined with a complete slopestyle course packed with drops, jumps and hip jumps.

Falken was also the presenter of the winter version of the Nines. Held this April in Sölden, Tyrol, the event brought together 45 athletes from twelve countries, who showcased their outstanding skills on slopes groomed perfectly for skiers and snowboarders.

“We are convinced that both the winter and summer versions of the Audi Nines are a great fit for our company”, says Markus Bögner, Managing Director and COO at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “Like snowboarding, mountain-biking is all about precision and enthusiasm, so that this stunning setting is the perfect backdrop for our brand values.”
