Falken extends its highly successful fuel voucher campaign in Germany and Austria

Tyre brand Falken is extending its fuel voucher sales campaign in Germany and Austria. In response to the huge popularity of the “Falken sagt Tanke!” (Falken Says Tanks!) campaign, particularly over the past four weeks, the tyre company will continue its special offers in Germany and Austria to 15 December 2018.

From 15 September, customers purchasing a set of Falken winter tyres from participating dealers have received a Shell prepaid card to the value of EUR 20. Now in its eighth year, the campaign is increasing in popularity – undoubtedly also due to the fact that it gives German and Austrian customers the opportunity to win a seven-day FTI holiday for two to Abu Dhabi for the 2019 Red Bull Air Race, including five-star hotel accommodation. Other prizes include 24 Shell fuel vouchers each to the value of EUR 100, and 100 Shell V-Power SmartDeal vouchers enabling winners to buy Shell V-Power fuel at the same price as standard fuels at participating filling stations.

The campaign is advertised in the retail sector by the use of POS materials and in high-reach online and TV channels.

“We were calculating with this extension because customers had not yet begun to think about winter tyres, given this year’s mild autumn temperatures. We’re delighted that our sales promotion campaign has proved so popular and are happy to extend it by two weeks”, says Markus Bögner, Managing Director and COO at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH.

This winter the special offers apply to the purchase of a set of FALKEN winter tyres in series EUROWINTER HS01, EUROWINTER HS01 SUV, EUROALL SEASON AS210 und EUROALL SEASON AS200, EUROWINTER VAN01 or EUROALL SEASON VAN11 in sizes of 16” and over. The closing date for redeeming the vouchers is 30 December 2018.

This year the campaign took place in Poland, Bulgaria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Greece as well as in Germany and Austria.

Artificial intelligence set to improve tyre durability and performance with "Tyre Leap AI Analysis"

Falken’s parent company, Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd (SRI), has developed new technology that utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the properties of rubber and detects how structural changes, due to load and wear, will affect performance throughout a tyre’s lifecycle. The data collected through “Tyre Leap AI Analysis” will support engineers to create longer lasting tyres with more consistent performance over time and is a key element of SRI’s “SMART TYRE CONCEPT”.
