Falken donates tyres to the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe coronavirus vaccination and testing teams

Mitsubishi Motors in Germany has provided 17 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid vehicles free of charge to the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe mobile vaccination and testing teams so as to support the response to the pandemic. To support Mitsubishi’s “Together against the coronavirus” project, Falken Tyre Europe GmbH has donated 17 sets of Falken all-season tyres, the FALKEN EUROALL SEASONS AS210 in the dimensions 225/55R18 102V XL to Mitsubishi Motors in Germany.

The FALKEN EUROALL SEASON AS210 provided for this purpose not only guarantees safe motoring in all weather conditions, it also ensures that the Mitsubishi Outlander mains a high degree of robustness and can cope with a high load.

"Besides the usual social distancing and hygiene rules, vaccination is our most effective tool in the fight against the global Coronavirus pandemic. We are pleased to be able to support Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and its teams in this momentous task, which is so important for all of us," explains Werner H. Frey, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors in Germany. "With the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, the best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV in Europe last year, we have the right model in our product range to support. In addition to the necessary space, its lithium-ion battery and bidirectional charging capability also offers the possibility of power supply – both internally via the household sockets integrated in the vehicle, but also externally as a mobile power generator."

“We are exceptionally pleased to have been able to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic with our tyres,” said Markus Bögner, COO and President of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, discussing the donation. “Last year, together with our partners Point S, we proved able to equip forty standby vehicles of DRK-Hochtaunus with new tyres.”

Available from retailers since July 2018, the multi-talented tyre from Falken offers ease of use, comfort, safety and performance 365 days a year. This has also been repeatedly confirmed by independent road testing organisations. In the recent AUTO BILD all-season tyre test dating from 12/2020, the tyre was found to offer “good driving characteristics in all weather conditions, harmonious steering and short braking distances in snow,” and awarded the rating of “Good”.

The EUROALL SEASON AS210 is available in 98 sizes, 13-19 inches in the 40-70 series and with the speed levels T to V, and is approved as an “AS210A MO” model by Mercedes-Benz for the G-Class as part of the original equipment.
