Falken Motorsports finishes 24h race at Nürburgring as best Porsche in Top 10

Falken Motorsports finishes the 50th ADAC TotalEnergies 24h race at Nürburgring in ninth place. Jaxon Evans, Sven Müller, Marco Seefried and Patrick Pilet bring their #33 Porsche 911 GT3 R home as the best-placed Porsche. The sister car with #44 retired early.

After two trouble-free practice days, Jaxon Evans, Sven Müller, Marco Seefried and double starter Patrick Pilet (#33) qualified for 25th on the grid. Klaus Bachler, Alessio Picariello, Patrick Pilet and Martin Ragginger followed in the #44 car in 33rd place.

The opening phase of the anniversary edition of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Race was marked by numerous position battles and incidents. The two Falken Porsches mastered this challenge with aplomb and put on an impressive show for the approx. 230,000 spectators.

Sven Müller (#33) was able to win a few places, but had to pit briefly on the second lap for an early stop after some contact. Patrick Pilet (#44) in the second Falken Porsche also had guardrail contact in the "Hohe Acht" section after a battle with a competitor, but was able to continue his drive. As the race progressed, both Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R cars performed well and gradually made up some places.

At the start of the 58th lap, however, the #44's race came to an abrupt end. Alessio Picariello was turned around by an Audi R8 and stopped on the track. A following Opel saw the 911 too late and crashed into the right rear wheel. Picariello drove the heavily damaged Porsche back to the Falken pits, but repairs were no longer possible on the spot. Finally the #44 was eliminated from the race after 9.5 hours.

Meanwhile, Jaxon Evans, Sven Müller, Marco Seefried and Patrick Pilet in the #33 drove a commanding race. The quartet thrilled the numerous fans at the race track with great overtaking maneuvers and were not held back even by rain in the final phase. In the end, Falken Motorsports was rewarded for its efforts: After 3984 kilometers, the #33 crossed the finish line as the best-placed Porsche in ninth place.
