One team, one dream! Falken at the Futsal Event 2024

For the second year in a row, Falken is taking part in the futsal event, which will be held on Sunday, 17 November 2024, at Sportpark Frankfurt am Main. The Association of Japanese Companies Frankfurt e.V. organises this event every year and invites Japanese companies to take part in an exciting indoor football tournament. On Sunday, a total of 18 teams will compete on four indoor courts. Falken will be represented by two teams together with its sister companies from Hanau, SREU and D-Tech: one team will compete as a mixed team of women and men, the other as a male team.

Futsal, a variant of football, is played on a smaller pitch and with five players per team. Unlike traditional football, futsal uses a smaller, less bouncy ball, which results in a faster and more technically demanding game.

By participating in sporting events like this one, Falken also fosters team spirit within the workforce: sports bring people together, and it’s not just about physical fitness. Winning is nice, but the joy of doing sports together is clearly at the heart of it.

While futsal primarily appeals to football enthusiasts, physical fitness is generally an important topic at Falken. In a company with a commercial and sales focus, employees spend most of their working hours sitting. Falken therefore offers a corporate fitness program that provides employees with access to numerous fitness studios, swimming pools, and climbing gyms throughout Germany. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to participate in online courses on nutrition programs and meditation exercises.

Additional Falken offers the opportunity to lease a company bike as part of its sports programme. Falken also remains committed to nutrition: Fresh fruit of varying varieties is provided daily in the offices. The health program also includes a company pension scheme, long-term care insurance, private supplementary health insurance and computer glasses.

‘We place great importance on the health and well-being of our employees. Our aim is to create a working environment that promotes and supports the physical and mental health of our employees,’ comments Jürgen Steuer, Manager Human Resources and General Affairs at Falken, on the participation.
