Falken Tyre Europe GmbH becomes DUNLOP Tyre Europe GmbH

The course for the future has been set: Falken Tyre Europe GmbH (Falken) is now operating under its new name, DUNLOP Tyre Europe GmbH (DUNLOP). The name change has now been officially entered in Offenbach’s Local Court commercial register, marking another milestone for the Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd subsidiary.

The change is both a logical and strategically important step towards a stronger European brand presence for DUNLOP. At the same time, this transition would not have been possible without the strong foundation Falken has built through its high brand awareness, consistent quality and the support of a dedicated team.

Under its new name, DUNLOP is strengthening its position within a globally recognised brand with a focus on growth, innovation and sustainability.

A visible sign of this new beginning will follow next Monday with the naming of the DUNLOP City Tower. The DUNLOP logo will be unveiled at a ceremony at the City Tower in Offenbach. The Lord Mayor of Offenbach, Dr Felix Schwenke, will attend the event with the managing directors Hiroshi Hamada and Markus Bögner and the expanded DUNLOP team.

“The name change is an important milestone of which we can be very proud. It strengthens our identity and underlines that we are ready for the next steps. Our strong heritage with Falken is and remains part of our success, laying the foundations for DUNLOP’s future in Europe,” said Markus Bögner, managing director and president of DUNLOP Tyre Europe GmbH. “Our thanks go to all our employees and partners who have supported and accompanied us on this journey.”
