Falken Motorsports celebrates dominant victory at the 6h race at Nürburgring

In the morning qualifying session, David Pittard, the overall winner of this year's 24h race at the Nürburgring, secured third place on the grid. For his teammates, only 20th place on the grid remained after the duo pitted in the early stages of qualifying and were slowed by a late Code 60 phase.

After the start of the six-hour race, which took place punctually at twelve o'clock, the Porsche drivers exploited the potential of the fresh Falken slicks. While Pittard consolidated his position in the top 3, Martin Ragginger started a brilliant chase. Within a few laps the Austrian had closed the gap to his teammate, so that from then on the two Falken Porsches raced through the Green Hell in formation.

While the competition had to contend with incidents in the course of the race and, as a result of the high temperatures, with degrading tires, the two teal-and-blue cars remained unscathed. Thanks to the Falken slicks, all four drivers were able to maintain a high pace throughout the race, allowing Falken Motorsports to celebrate an unchallenged victory at the ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race, the fifth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

After six hours, Joel Eriksson and David Pittard crossed the finish line as overall winners. Martin Ragginger and Dennis Fetzer followed in second place, but were subsequently taken out of the classification due to a breach of regulations.

The Nürburgring Endurance Series takes a two-month break before the next races. On September 09, the 63rd ADAC ACAS Cup is on the schedule, just one day before the competitors start the third six-hour race of the season at the 62nd ADAC Reinoldus endurance race.
