Falken Motorsports aims for another victory in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series with two strong driver duos

Double racing action in the Green Hell: This coming weekend, Falken Motorsports has a doubleheader in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series on the schedule. On both Saturday and Sunday, the team and fans can look forward to a four-hour race in the popular amateur series. This time, the two teal-and-blue Porsche 911 GT3 Rs will be piloted by two strong driver pairings: Julien Andlauer and Joel Sturm will take turns at the wheel of the Falken Porsche #3, while Nordschleife specialist Benjamin Leuchter will join regular driver Tim Heinemann in the sister car #4 for the first time.

The 37-year-old from Duisburg is no stranger to the Nürburgring Nordschleife: Together with former DFB professional Max Kruse, Leuchter founded the “Max Kruse Racing” racing team a few years ago, which is also active in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series and has already celebrated successes there on Falken tires. In the 2019 season, Leuchter even clinched a race victory on the Nordschleife in the WTCR World Touring Car Cup. Now he can prove himself for the first time in the Porsche 911 GT3 R from Falken Motorsports, which he will share with regular driver Tim Heinemann on his GT3 debut.

Joel Sturm, another Falken newcomer, will also be behind the wheel of the sister car. The 23-year-old won the LMGT3 classification in last year's World Endurance Championship (WEC) alongside Falken driver Klaus Bachler and knows the Porsche 911 GT3 R inside out. Sturm has also competed at the Green Hell several times in recent years, but now the Brühl native will be racing in the distinctive colors of Falken Motorsports for the first time. He will share the #3 Porsche with regular driver Julien Andlauer, who has already secured a podium finish for the Japanese tire brand this season.

After its double victory in the last race, Falken Motorsports is traveling to the Eifel with considerable momentum. The goal is clear: two more overall victories are to follow in the double-header of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series. The 65th ADAC ACAS Cup is on the agenda on Saturday, followed by another four-hour race on Sunday, the 64th ADAC Reinoldus Endurance Race. As usual, the starting signal will be given at 12 noon on both days, after the starting positions have been determined in the 90-minute qualifying session in the morning.

But there is also plenty going on away from the track: the popular Falken Drift Team will be putting on spectacular shows in the paddock and on the race track on Saturday and Sunday. Anyone who wants to can even take a seat in the passenger seat during the taxi rides and experience the drift show up close. All proceeds will be donated to Race4Friends e.V.
