FALKEN Motorsports celebrates another podium finish in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series
FALKEN Motorsports returned from the summer break with a strong performance: Tim Heinemann and Morris Schuring drove the teal-and-blue #44 Porsche 911 GT3 R to second place overall at the 65th ADAC Reinoldus Endurance Race, the eighth round of the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The FALKEN duo completed a flawless four-hour race on the Nordschleife and ultimately missed the overall victory by less than a second. The third-place car, the Audi R8 LMS from Max Kruse Racing, was also running on FALKEN racing tyres.
Heinemann and Schuring laid the groundwork for FALKEN Motorsports’ second podium finish of the season as early as qualifying, when they secured sixth on the grid with their teal-and-blue Porsche. After the start of the four-hour race, starting driver Heinemann defended his position and fought his way up to fifth place early in the second lap. The Japanese tire manufacturer’s team then opted for an early pit stop. Heinemann remained in the cockpit and managed to overtake the race leader shortly thereafter.
After just over an hour, the FALKEN Porsche took the lead for the first time. However, the lead changed hands several times as the race progressed due to yellow flag periods and heavy traffic in the “Green Hell”. A fierce battle with the competition ensued, one that would last until the checkered flag fell: Closing driver Morris Schuring was right on the tail of the eventual overall winner in the final minutes, but despite drafting, he couldn’t find a way past. After 27 laps, he was just 0.308 seconds short of victory.
FALKEN Motorsports’ strong result was rounded out by the FALKEN customer team Max Kruse Racing: The Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II (#75) driven by Marcel and Dominik Fugel and Benjamin Leuchter finished third overall behind the FALKEN Porsche #44 and also claimed the class victory in the AT1 class for alternative-fuel vehicles. The Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II (#11) driven by Finn Zulauf, Christian Kohlhaas, and Christoph Lenz finished second in the class, while the third Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II (#19) took third place in the AT1 class.
There’s no time for FALKEN Motorsports to catch its breath: The ninth round of the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series is already on the schedule for Sunday (September 13). The doubleheader enters its second round with the 66th ADAC ACAS Cup hosted by the Automobil-Club-Altkreis-Schwelm. As with the first round, the teams can once again expect a four-hour race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The race will start at 12 pm, as usual.
