FALKEN Motorsports celebrates first win of the season in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series

After finishing second overall the day before, FALKEN Motorsports moved up one more position: On Sunday, Tim Heinemann and Morris Schuring won the 66th ADAC ACAS Cup, the ninth round of the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The duo had already secured pole position that morning in their teal-and-blue No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 R and then left nothing to chance in the four-hour race. Adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain at times, created extremely difficult conditions and led to numerous accidents on the legendary Nordschleife.

Qualifying had already been extremely successful: Tim Heinemann secured pole position for the FALKEN Porsche with a lap time of 7:51.957 minutes. It was also the first pole for the successful sim racer and former DTM driver, who has been regularly behind the wheel for the Japanese tire brand’s team since the 2022 season. However, it was his teammate Morris Schuring who took the start of the four-hour race. The Dutchman immediately took the lead and was able to extend his advantage over the chasing pack to more than ten seconds within just a few laps.

When the first raindrops began to fall after about an hour, the race turned into a tire strategy battle, as the right tire choice at that point could mean the difference between victory and defeat. FALKEN Motorsports managed to make the most of the tires’ potential in all conditions, leaving the competition no chance. Despite the difficult conditions, both Heinemann and Schuring drove flawlessly and crossed the finish line after 25 laps as overall winners. The day before, the FALKEN duo had been defeated by less than half a second in a heart-stopping finale.

The FALKEN customer team Max Kruse Racing, which had also stood on the overall podium the day before, had reason to celebrate once again: The Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II (#75) driven by Marcel and Dominik Fugel along with Benjamin Leuchter repeated its class victory in the AT1 class for vehicles running on alternative fuels. The Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II (#11) driven by Finn Zulauf, Christian Kohlhaas, and Christoph Lenz finished second in its class. The VW Golf GTI Clubsport 24h (#10) driven by team owner Max Kruse, Jonathan Mogotsi, and Franco Fahrbach took second place in the SP3T class.

The 2026 motorsports season is entering its final round: On October 10, the 2nd NLS Sportwarte Trophy will determine who can take center stage once again on the legendary Nordschleife. For participants in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series, four hours of racing are once again on the schedule to close out the season. In qualifying (starting at 8:30 am), grid positions will be determined before the final race of the year begins at noon.
