Falken Motorsports confirms overall 24h winner to join its line-up for Nürburgring Endurance Series race this weekend

This weekend Falken Motorsports will return to the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife for the ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race. The team will send two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars with a strong driver line-up for the six-hour event in the Eifel. The team is relying on a blend of experience, young talent and a recent 24-hour race winner.

After a strong top-10 result at the 51st edition of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h race at the Nürburgring, Falken Motorsports now has its sights set on another overall victory at the fifth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). To help achieve this, the team has lined up Falken regular Joel Eriksson with newcomer David Pittard in the #3 Porsche and Martin Ragginger with Dennis Fetzer in the sister #4 car.

Pittard knows from his own experience what it takes to win on the Nordschleife: just a few weeks ago, the 31-year-old won the legendary 24-hour race there in the Frikadelli Racing Ferrari 296 GT3. Now, the likeable British driver wants to prove that the 24h victory was not a one off. Even though the Porsche, in combination with its Falken tyres is still unknown to Pittard, he is confident of a strong debut.

In the sister car, Falken veteran Martin Ragginger and Dennis Fetzer will share duties. Fetzer has been competing on the Nordschleife for several years, also in a GT3 race car from the Zuffenhausen marque. At the last NLS race three weeks ago, the 22-year-old drove a Porsche 911 GT3 R to second place in the SP9 ProAm class. The Hessian is still looking for his first overall victory - and hoping to change that with his Falken Motorsports outing this weekend.

The ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr Cup Race takes place on 8th July 2023. After a 90-minute qualifying session in the morning, the lights go out on Saturday at 12 noon. For the first time this season, the drivers and teams will contest a six hour long race.
