Falken actively participates in Orange Days – the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Offenbach, November 25th, 2024 - This year, Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is once again dedicated to its social commitment, with the Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. subsidiary drawing attention to the International Day against Violence against Women and Girls with an internal campaign for 16 days. This campaign was officially launched in 1999.

This year, the UN campaign will run from November 25 to December 10, 2024 under the slogan “Orange the World”. All over the world, buildings are being lit up in orange to send a signal against violence. Numerous events and workshops will also take place during the period to promote the fight against violence.

Falken is involved in the campaign with a workshop on self-defense/self-assertion led by Francesco Liotta, head coach of the Bundesliga team and president of the 1. JC Samurai Offenbach. The campaign is also being publicized with communication media at the Falken offices, in the City Tower and on Falken’s social media channels.

The company is highly committed to promoting women at all levels of the company. At the headquarters in Offenbach, almost 50% of the workforce are women. Employees come from 26 different nations, which illustrates Falken’s global perspective and commitment to diversity.

“We cordially invite our employees to actively participate in the workshop. I am convinced that our campaign will make the issue of violence against women gain attention and be incorporated into everyday communication within the company. Lighting up the City Tower in Offenbach in orange is a strong symbol of our support for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women,” commented Jürgen Steuer, Manager Human Resources and General Affairs at Falken Tyre Europe.
