Historic victory for Falken Motorsports at the 12-hour race at the Nürburgring

Awesome performance by Falken Motorsports at the 12-hour race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife: Joel Eriksson, Sven Müller, Jaxon Evans and Alessio Picariello win the newly created season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series in the #3 Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R. Ayhancan Güven, Côme Ledogar, Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger complete the team success with a sixth place in the sister car.

The Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) attracted numerous fans to the Eifel with a new format. The new XXL distance over a total of 12 hours of racing action was divided into two halves.

While the first six hours on Saturday were characterized by changing weather conditions, drivers and teams were happy about a completely dry "Green Hell" on Sunday.

Joel Eriksson, Sven Müller, Jaxon Evans and Alessio Picariello in the number 3 Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R laid the foundation for the victory already on Saturday. Thanks to a brilliant driving performance in very difficult track conditions and the outstanding performance of Falken's rain and slick tires, the quartet finished the race as "half-time winners" with a lead of just under a minute over the runner-up.

The #4 sister car with Ayhancan Güven, Côme Ledogar, Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger followed in seventh position.

On Sunday at 10 a.m. the competitors started into the second half of the race. Here, too, both Falken teams impressed with exciting fights for positions and a flawless drive. At the end of the 12 hours and 79 laps driven, which corresponds to around 1,925 kilometers, the #3 crossed the finish line in first place and secured a much acclaimed victory for the Falken team.

The #4 followed as second-best Porsche in a great sixth place and successfully rounded off the team result.

Falken thus wins another NLS season highlight. Sven Müller and Joel Eriksson were already on the top step of the podium for Falken Motorsports at the 6-hour race in July.

The race continues on October 22, 2022, at the 54th ADAC Barbarossapreis, then again over the usual distance of four hours.
