“Recommended” for the Falken EUROWINTER HS01 by ÖAMTC and TCS

The Falken EUROWINTER HS01 has been awarded the “Recommended” rating in the latest winter tyre test by the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club (ÖAMTC) and the Touring Club of Switzerland (TCS). A total of 16 winter tyres in the 195/65R15 dimension were put under the microscope and had to undergo both subjective and objective assessments in various categories.

The Falken EUROWINTER HS01 convinced the independent reviewers in snow and on dry roads in particular: with scores of 2.3 (dry handling) and 2.4 (snow handling), the tyre more than held its own. The reviewers also rated the fuel consumption very positively: with a grade of 2.1, the Falken tyres have no need to be afraid of the competition. The Falken EUROWINTER HS01 is only 0.3 points behind the average for the overall group (2.4 vs. 2.7) in the wet handling category, which makes up 30% of the overall score. The Falken tyre was therefore awarded an overall score of 3.0 and the rating of “Recommended”.

“We are continuing to work hard to make big improvements to the attributes of our winter tyres and are pleased to have received a "Recommended" rating in this highly competitive segment, which more than makes clear that we are very well positioned with our tyres in the premium segment,” said Andreas Giese, Senior Manager Corporate Planning/Product Planning at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, commenting on the result.

The Falken EUROWINTER HS01 is available in 125 dimensions from 13 – 21 inches in the 35 – 70 series and in the speed categories T/H/V/W.
