Falken extends ‘fill up’ winter fuel voucher campaign

Falken is extending its hugely popular winter fuel voucher campaign until December 15th. Launched in September, the 2022 “Falken says fill up” winter campaign, rewards customers in all 12 existing markets with a fuel voucher, which can be spent on fuel or in-store goods.

From 18th – 22nd October 2022, with a 100 square metre booth, Falken is attending the EQUIP AUTO 2022 trade fair in Paris, France, where it will present several highlights from its wide range of tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles and HGVs. Falken is owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., which is based in Japan and the fifth largest tyre maker in the world, with sales of over 116 million tyres per year.

“Dynamic handling with precise lateral guidance and short braking distances on wet surfaces, good aquaplaning characteristics and a competitive price”: such are the attributes with which the Falken EUROALL SEASON AS210 achieved a test rating of “Good” in the AUTO BILD all-year tyre test, which was published in issue 10/2022. Eleven all-year tyres in the 225/50 R 18 dimension were put to the test on a BMW.

“Falken says fill up” is this season’s motto once again: Just in time for the changeover period, Falken is launching its popular sales campaign once again. From 15th September until 30th November 2022, with purchases of the Falken EUROWINTER HS01, EUROWINTER HS01 SUV, EUROWINTER HS02/HS02 PRO, EUROALL SEASON AS200, EUROALL SEASON AS210, WILDPEAK AT3WA, EUROWINTER VAN01 or EUROALL SEASON VAN11 tyres (starting from 16 inches), a free Aral SuperCard® with a value of 20 Euros will be available for filling up and shopping. Falken is also raffling prizes with a value of more than 15,000 euros during the campaign period.

Awesome performance by Falken Motorsports at the 12-hour race at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife: Joel Eriksson, Sven Müller, Jaxon Evans and Alessio Picariello win the newly created season highlight of the Nürburgring Endurance Series in the #3 Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R. Successful experiment opens the door to bioengineering with natural rubber

Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., the parent company of Falken, and other research institutions in Japan have developed a process resulting in the further utilisation of the resource of natural rubber and therefore the development of new versions of rubber which also contribute to the properties of the overall tyre performance.

Sumitomo Rubber Industries wins “Tire Technology of the Year Award” for “Performance Sustaining Technology”

Falken Tyres’ parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd (SRI) has won the “Tire Technology of the Year Award” at the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence. SRI’s “Performance Sustaining Technology”, which makes use of hydrogenated polymer to extend tyre life, was recognised at the event in Hannover, with the award presented to Dr Bernd Löwenhaupt, SRI Europe’s managing director.

New internal power generation technology can detect tyre wear

In a joint project between Falken’s parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries and Professor Hiroshi Tani of Kansai University, Japan, an innovative power generator for tyres has been developed. It uses the rotation of a tyre to generate electricity and supply power to peripheral sensors installed in the tyre without relying on batteries.
