Falken Tyres drives toward summer with three strong tyre tests

Falken is kicking off the 2026 summer season with an impressive run of test successes. Three models – the ultra-high-performance Falken AZENIS FK520, the Falken ZIEX ZE320 all-round summer tyre and the Falken e.ZIEX – have secured strong ratings in independent tests conducted by renowned specialist media and motoring clubs.

Falken AZENIS FK520: “Very Good” and best value for money in the sportauto test

The Falken AZENIS FK520 was highly commended in the sportauto summer tyre test and received an overall rating of “Very Good”. With a total score of 8.6 across all categories, it ranks among the best-performing tyres in its segment. The exceptionally short braking distances on both wet and dry roads were each awarded 10 out of 10 points, whilst handling, lateral grip and comfort also impressed with great results. The editorial team additionally recognised the tyre as the “best value for money”, proving its balance of performance and price.

Falken ZIEX ZE320: “Very Good” in the AvD summer tyre test

In the latest summer tyre test conducted by the Automobile Club of Germany (AvD), the Falken ZIEX ZE320 in size 215/55 R17 achieved an overall rating of “Very Good” and secured a strong fifth place out of the 15 tyres tested. The ZIEX ZE320 was particularly impressive in wet conditions, achieving high marks between 4.4 and 4.6 out of 5, including excellent results in aquaplaning, corner aquaplaning and braking distance. The tyre also delivered consistent strong performance on dry roads and scored highly for its very low noise level. In the “Greenovation” category, the Falken ZIEX ZE320 received a “Good” rating due to its low weight and efficient rolling resistance.

Falken e. ZIEX: “Good” in the auto motor und sport summer test

Rounding out the success, Falken’s e. ZIEX, developed for modern passenger cars and electric vehicles, achieved an overall rating of “Good” in the auto motor und sport summer tyre test. With 7.2 out of 10 points in the wet section and 8.4 out of 10 points on dry roads, the tyre demonstrated a balanced and safe performance. Particularly noteworthy were the excellent ride comfort and very low interior noise levels, both of which received 10 out of 10 points. The testers describe the Falken e. ZIEX as an “efficiency recommendation for electric vehicles” and praised its quiet, controllable handling.

Falken Motorsports has made an impressive start to the new motorsports season: At the 58th ADAC Barbarossa Prize - which was originally scheduled to be the second round of the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) but now served as the season opener following last weekend’s cancellation - Sven Müller and Tim Heinemann secured third place overall in the No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 R. The team is thus seamlessly building on the strong performances of last season.
