Falken Motorsports success story continues: victory at the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series

Falken Motorsports once again proved its strength and dominance at the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt. Drivers Julien Andlauer and Sven Müller celebrated a commanding victory to clinch the team's fourth win of the season.

The race day began with a delay: due to dense fog, qualifying had to be postponed by an hour and a half. Despite this delay, the team did not lose its composure. In the shortened qualifying session, Tim Heinemann and Martin Ragginger showed an outstanding performance in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) with starting number 4 and secured second place on the grid. Their teammates Julien Andlauer and Sven Müller, who drove the number 3 Porsche, finished third on the grid.

As originally planned, the race took place over a distance of four hours. Heinemann took the lead on the very first corner, while Müller lined up in third place. At the start of the third lap, Müller managed to take second place overall. On the fourth lap, Müller finally took the lead from his team-mate Heinemann and continuously extended his lead.

As the race progressed, both Falken Porsches impressed with their outstanding performance and tactical skill. Another double podium seemed to be within reach. Three laps before the end, however, a puncture caused by debris lying on the track thwarted the potential one-two result. The retirement for Ragginger and Heinemann in the #4 was a bitter setback for the team after a magnificent performance.

Julien Andlauer and Sven Müller, however, were undeterred and drove home the victory safely. This triumph marked the fourth win of the season for Falken Motorsports.

The next race is also the highlight of the NLS season: the ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal race will take place on August 3rd, 2024.
