Falken gets involved in the Orange Days – with workshops for employee empowerment

Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is once again sending out a strong signal for social engagement by participating in the Orange Days with its own in-house campaign. The “Orange the World” campaign launched by the UN attracts attention from November 25th on for 16 days every year and calls for an end to gender-based violence.

As part of the campaign, Falken is holding a workshop for employee empowerment under the direction of Günther Bubenitschek, the State Prevention of Crime Officer for Baden-Württemberg of WEISSER RING e.V. – a non-profit organisation which is dedicated to supporting victims of crime and the prevention of criminal offences.

This year, the focus is on empowering employees in terms of various topics surrounding personal safety and civil courage. The workshops will offer practical insights and strategies for dealing with online hate and protection against stalking, as well as suggestions on how to show civil courage in everyday life through voice, attitude and presence.

“We are encouraging our employees to actively participate in the workshops. In an increasingly digitalised world, it is very important to be aware of the challenges of the cyber world,” comments Jürgen Steuer, Manager Human Resources and General Affairs at Falken Tyre Europe, on the engagement. “The response to our offering has been very good, and I am convinced that the resulting positive changes within the organisation will strengthen the FalkenFam and have positive effects far beyond it.”

The campaign is also being publicised with communication media at the Falken offices, in the City Tower and on Falken’s social media channels.
