Did you know that Falken Tyre Europe GmbH now has 230 employees from 23 different nations? And what do these 230 people all have in common? They belong to the Falken Family of course!
On May 28, 2024, Falken is celebrating Diversity Day. To mark the event, Falken has invited all its ‘family’ to bring in specialities from their own kitchens and cultures. After all, the way to the heart is through the stomach! This will be a great opportunity to learn a little more about each other’s cultural background and there’s bonus points for those that come in traditional dress!
“Diversity Day is all about celebrating the richness of the world’s cultures. Our international buffet is intended to reflect the cultural diversity of Falken,” says Jürgen Steuer, Manager, Human Resources and General Affairs at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “As well as appreciating the differences between our people and respecting their values, beliefs and cultures, we are working hard to ensure that everyone has equal opportunities and are treated equally regardless of gender, age, origin, sexual orientation, disability or religion as our Falken Family grows.”
The German Diversity Day, initiated by the Charta der Vielfalt e. V., is an annual day of action in Germany that promotes diversity and inclusion in organisations.
Falken is extending its popular ‘fill up’ campaign until December 15th. Launched in September, the promotion rewards customers who buy a set of Falken tyres, with a voucher which can be spent on fuel or in-store goods.
This year, Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is once again dedicated to its social commitment, with the Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. subsidiary drawing attention to the International Day against Violence against Women and Girls with an internal campaign for 16 days. This campaign was officially launched in 1999.
Falken Motorsports has claimed first place in the NLS Speed Trophy, with its #4 Porsche 911 GT3 R topping the standings ahead of the Manthey Porsche and a Mercedes-AMG GT3. Meanwhile, Falken’s second entry, the #3 Porsche, claimed an impressive fourth place in the overall rankings – further underscoring Falken’s dominance in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).
