Falken Motorsports finishes on the podium again in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series

After two victories at the season opener, Falken Motorsports has impressively confirmed its reputation as a top team on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife: At the third round of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series - the 56th Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy - Morris Schuring, awarded “Driver of the Day”, and Sven Müller secured third place. Tim Heinemann and Dennis Marschall completed the strong team result with fourth place in the second Falken Porsche.

However, even more could have been possible in the four-hour race in the “Green Hell”: Technical misfortune and numerous yellow flags in the morning qualifying prevented fast times, which is why the two teal-and-blue Porsche 911 GT3 Rs had to make do with grid positions nine and ten. An optimal starting position therefore failed to materialize at first.

But after the start, both cars showed the full potential of the Falken slick tires: After the start, Morris Schuring in the Falken Porsche #3 and teammate Tim Heinemann in the Falken Porsche #4 slowly fought their way forward. After the second lap of the race, the duo, who were once again flying in pairs around the legendary Nordschleife this season, were already in sixth and seventh place. The scheduled pit stop followed after the sixth lap and the changeover to Sven Müller and Dennis Marschall, who seamlessly continued the race to catch up.

At the second pit stop, both Falken Porsches had already fought their way into the top five. In the second half of the race, 20-year-old Morris Schuring in particular caused a stir: In only his third Nordschleife race, he underlined his great talent with a spirited overtaking maneuver against the eventual winner. Although the team had to concede defeat again in the end due to a deviating pit strategy on the part of the competitor, third place was secured.

After their successful season opener, Sven Müller and Morris Schuring once again secure a place on the podium. After his impressive performance, Schuring even became the first GT3 driver ever to be named “Driver of the Day” - a title awarded after every race by the Nürburgring Endurance Interest Group (ILN). Tim Heinemann and Dennis Marschall completed the strong team result with a fourth place overall.

The next highlight awaits in two weeks' time: The ADAC 24h Qualifiers are regarded as a dress rehearsal for the prestigious 24-hour race at the Nürburgring - and also count towards the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series classification. Another chance for Falken Motorsports to clinch its third overall victory of the year.
