“Falken says tanks” campaign honoured with Special Design Award 2021

Falken and the digital marketing specialist Pixelgenau have been honoured with the German Design Award 2021 in the “Special Mention” category for the sales campaign “Falken says tanks”.

With this award, the top-class jury – comprised of design experts from industry and commerce, science, and design sectors – recognises the consistent design concept and its implementation. The members of the expert jury, originating from nine countries, award this seal of approval for innovative design, selecting recipients from around 5,000 entries in each category of the German Design Awards.

“We’ve been successfully collaborating with Falken for many years. We’ve implemented many projects together. The cooperation is always a pleasure for us. The marketing experts at Falken are always open to new, creative ideas and are even willing to leave well-worn paths,” says Sandra Buchwald, board member of Pixelgenau Consulting GmbH, celebrating the achievement.

“We’re delighted with this award and want to congratulate our colleagues at Pixelgenau. The “Falken says tanks” campaign has been running for ten years now. The sales campaign grew more popular year after year and the number of people taking part grew. We now have a dedicated team for running the campaign. The consistent and strict implementation of the campaign is certainly one of the reasons for the continuous growth of the campaign’s popularity. Pixelgenau contributed greatly to that. It starts with an appealing and intuitive microsite where our customers can immediately find out about our brand and diverse range of products,” says Dennis Wilstermann, marketing supervisor at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, celebrating the award.

Falken says tanks”, also known as “Falken sagt Tanke”, is a long-running sales campaign in which customers buying a set of Falken tyres from participating dealers are rewarded with fuel vouchers worth EUR 20, along with the chance to win other prizes. The campaign takes place in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovenia.
