Falken to entertain guests at the Nürburgring 24-hour race once again

The Falken’ customer event calender has gained one more important event: Falken will take over 120 guests from its core European markets and numerous media outlets to the race, which will take place from May 28 – 29 in the Eifel region. Falken has also extended its role as a key partner of the event, which it has supported since 1999, gradually expanding its commitment in the years since its debut.

For this year’s race, the tyre brand will once again compete on the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife with an elite line-up of GT drivers and a pair of identical Falken-shod 911 GT3 Rs entered in the SP9 class that competes for the overall win.

In its #33 Porsche, Sven Müller, Jaxon Evans, Patrick Pilet and Marco Seefried form the driver quartet. Pilet will also drive in the #44 and undertake double duty during the race alongside Alessio Picariello, Martin Ragginger and Klaus Bachler.

Falken’s guests for the event will be offered an unforgettable experience. They are invited to a "Welcome Night" and gala dinner before experiencing the race itself from multiple spectacular vantage points. In addition to bringing guests, Falken will display its latest tyre models at its on-event trade fair stand at ring boulevard, including the AZENIS FK520, EUROWINTER HS02 and HS02 PRO and the e.ZIEX, the first tyre from Falken aimed at cars with alternative drive technologies. Falken’s Drift Team will be present too, wowing the trackside crowd with a show at the Mühlenbachschleife.

For fans following the race away from the circuit, Falken’s social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube will be producing content throughout the event as part of its activation push. A film crew dedicated to Falken will also be producing video content before, during and after the race and stream the 24-hours live with onboard cameras on a dedicated microsite.

"We are delighted that we can finally spend the 24-hour race with our guests again," commented Markus Bögner, COO and President at Falken Tyre Europe. "Falken remains committed to this event and is proud to have been a part of its 50-year history. I am sure that our guests and fans will enjoy every moment of what promises to be a special race weekend.”

The 50th ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring will take place from 28-29 May 2022, starting at 16:00 CEST on the Saturday afternoon. Top Qualifying, which decides the starting grid, begins at 17:50 CEST on Friday. Fans can follow all sessions via the livestream on YouTube and Facebook, as well as view footage from the onboard cameras, which are mounted in both of Falken’s Porsche 911 GT3 R race cars.
