“Brand profile with balanced performance potential, good aquaplaning characteristics, stable and safe wet handling, short dry braking distances.” Such are the strengths of the FALKEN ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN, as described by the testers of the Falken tyres in the big summer tyre test completed by AUTOBILD ALLRAD magazine. Ten summer tyres in the 215/60R17 size were tested, with the Falken tyre coming in sixth overall and achieving a rating of “Good”.
The FALKEN ZIEX ZE310 plays in the premier league, especially when it comes to the safety-relevant wet tests: with an aquaplaning speed of 85.7 km/h, the Falken tyre is just 1.7 km/h behind the first-placed tyre and comes in at third place in this category. It also secured an impressive third place for its aquaplaning when cornering: with a lateral acceleration of 2.81 m/s2, the Falken tyre is just 0.22 m/s2 behind the best performer in the category. With an average speed of 62.2 km/h, the Falken tyre also keeps pace with the leading group in terms of its wet handling – just 0.4 km/h separate it from the top performer. Its braking performance on wet surfaces is also impressive: with a braking distance of 54.4 m at 100 km/h, the Falken tyre is only just over two metres behind the average braking distance of the top group, and receives a rating of “2-” in this category. In the dry braking category, just over a metre (1.1 metres) separates the FALKEN ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN from the first-placed winner. Here, too, the test vehicle was brought to a halt from a speed of 100 km/h.

After all, the testers rated the tyre especially highly in the safety-related testing categories”.
The FALKEN ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN has been available at retailers since May 2019, and is a summer tyre from the latest generation. Thanks to the use of latest tyre development technology, this Falken tyre has excellent traction and grip on wet and dry roads as well as outstanding wear resistance. The tyre, which is popular with both performance-oriented drivers and those who don’t want to sacrifice driving comfort, is now available in 124 sizes from 14 – 19 inches in the 35 – 70 series, and is approved for the speed classes H/V/W (210 – 270 km/h).
Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is once again sending out a strong signal for social engagement by participating in the Orange Days with its own in-house campaign. The “Orange the World” campaign launched by the UN attracts attention from November 25th on for 16 days every year and calls for an end to gender-based violence.
Falken is extending its popular ‘fill up’ campaign until December 15th. Launched in September, the promotion rewards customers who buy a set of Falken tyres, with a voucher which can be spent on fuel or in-store goods.
