The Falken e. ZIEX is crowned winner of the Auto Motor Sport Summer Tyre Test in terms of price vs. performance, securing second place

Falken is proud to present the result of several years of developmental work: a perfect summer tyre designed for electric vehicles – but equally suitable for combustion engine and hybrid vehicles as well.

The Falken e. ZIEX not only came second in the latest Auto Motor Sport Summer Tyre Test, but was also the price vs. performance winner.

At 125 euros per tyre, it prevailed against six other well-known test participants, standing out due to its performance and quality as well as its excellent price vs. performance ratio. Six 215/55 R17 dimension tyres were tested on a VW Passat and the Audi Q2 compact SUV in both wet and dry road conditions.

In the annual test, tyres from various tyre manufacturers undergo several different tasks, demonstrating their performance under a variety of conditions. As always: the tyre which performs best in the tests in terms of its overall assessment is the test winner, leading to a correspondingly good rating. The Auto Motor Sport Summer Tyre Test specifically inspects summer tyres, and this time, the Falken e. ZIEX achieved the best braking performance on wet and dry road surfaces, proudly securing top places in both categories. The e. ZIEX was not only convincing on a straight road surface; the summer tyre from Falken also stood out with its safe performance around curves thanks to its comfortable running and low rolling resistance.

In terms of its sustainability rating, the tyre from Falken was awarded an overall score of 8.8 out of a maximum of 10 points. The critics highlighted the tyre’s short transport distances: the Falken e. ZIEX is manufactured in Turkey and not in Asia; they also praised the proportion of sustainable and recycled raw materials of up to 20 percent. Another advantage is the tyre’s low rolling resistance, reducing CO2 emissions due to its lower propulsion requirement.

With an overall score of 9.0 out of 10, the result is more than impressive, making the Falken e. ZIEX a low-cost yet safe and high-performance choice for all combustion engine vehicles.
