Falken Motorsports repeat opening win in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series

Falken Motorsports were also unstoppable in the second round of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series, the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy: Dorian Boccolacci and Alessio Picariello repeated their triumph from the season opener five weeks ago and secured the Japanese tire manufacturer's second win of the season in the teal-and-blue Porsche 911 GT3 R with starting number 3. Their teammates Tim Heinemann and Dennis Marschall completed the strong team result with a respectable fifth place overall in the sister car with the number 4.

The two Falken Porsches were not only considered favorites for another overall victory after their one-two finish five weeks ago - the team also made a strong impression in the morning qualifying session, missing out on pole position by just three seconds. While the Falken-Porsche #3 took second place on the grid, the Falken-Porsche #4 rounded off the good team result with a third place in qualifying.

After the start, both cars immediately established themselves in the leading group. Tim Heinemann in the #4 Porsche initially managed to overtake Alessio Picariello in the sister car. As in the season opener five weeks ago, the two Falken Porsches drove in formation around the Nordschleife and took the lead for the first time around 40 minutes into the race. Due to an extended pit stop, Heinemann and Marschall later fell behind each other.

It was only in the final kilometers that things got tight again at the front: the competition closed the gap rapidly and even passed final rider Dorian Boccolacci shortly before the chequered flag fell. However, as it was already known that his rival would receive a time penalty at the end of the race, the Frenchman kept a cool head, refrained from taking any unnecessary risks and let his opponent go. Boccolacci initially crossed the finish line in second place, but together with his team-mate Alessio Picariello he subsequently secured a well-deserved victory.

With this success, Falken Motorsports consolidates its role as one of the favorites for the remaining races of the season, including the prestigious 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. In just two weeks' time, the Nürburgring Endurance Series will enter the third round of the 2025 season with the 56th Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy.
