The new Falken 24h Race film is online: Why We Race

“Why do we race?” Why do we risk everything to chase victory? What tempts us back to the Nürburgring year after year, hoping for our moment in history? Our latest film, ‘Why We Race’ – shot during the 52nd edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring – seeks to answer these very questions.

In our latest film, ‘Why We Race’ we invite you to witness the relentless pursuit, the unwavering dedication and the spirit of endurance that defines us. Our partners, Max Kruse Racing and Team Bilstein by Black FALCON, also make special guest appearances in our latest movie.

This year we made history. Not through glory, nor through struggles. We made history because 2024 delivered the shortest race in the event’s history. Even so, we shot hours of raw footage before, during and after the race – exploring why each of us do what we do at the legendary Nordschleife.

In front of 240,000 fans, the omens were good. We’d already claimed three victories in the preparatory races of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifier – and the teal-and-blue Porsche was considered one of the favorites for overall victory.

But it was the weather which stole the show – quite literally.

So, returning to the question – why do we race? In times of success, it’s an easy thing to answer. In times of heartbreak, much harder. But through it all – for drivers, teams, volunteers and fans – the passion runs through our veins.

"At the heart of repetition lies the promise of perfection." This is why we race. This is why we endure.
