Falken celebrates podium at third round of Nürburgring Endurance Series

Great success for Falken Motorsports: the tyre brand celebrated a third place at the 62nd Eibach ADAC ACAS Cup, third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger in the #4 Porsche 911 GT3 R completed a flawless race and were rightly delighted with their first podium success in the young season. The sister car, the #3 Porsche with Lance David Arnold and Dirk Werner behind the wheel, finished 18th overall.

Werner replaced Thomas Preining, who tested positive for Covid-19 and in accordance with guidelines, he could not be present this weekend. Fortunately, two further negative tests confirmed that Thomas Preining is healthy.

Qualifying on Saturday morning was initially chaotic. Several accidents and repair work at the track resulted in a longer interruption and finally in a premature end of the session. Martin Ragginger and Klaus Bachler ended up in eleventh position with the #4 Porsche, Lance David Arnold and Dirk Werner qualified for the 20th position.

Once again the field of the Nürburgring Endurance Series was very strong: More than 30 GT3 cars entered in the third round of the NLS to prepare for the big 24-hour classic in June.

After the start of the four-hour race, the two Falken Porsche already established in the top 10. Drivers and also the Falken tires convinced with a great performance at cool weather conditions. With fast lap times and flawless stints, Ragginger and Bachler fought their way forward place by place.

After the last pit stop, the Falken duo occupied third position and defended it to the finish line. Dirk Werner and Lance David Arnold also reached the checkered flag and rounded off the strong team result with 19th position. The victory went to the friendly Porsche team of Frikadelli Racing.

The next race for Falken Motorsports is already next weekend. The ADAC qualifying race is the dress rehearsal before the ADAC TOTAL 24h race, which takes place from June 3 to 6, 2021.
