Falken wins VRÖ Award at the AutoZum in Salzburg

Falken shines once again, with the VRÖ Award in its hand at AutoZum, which took place from January 22 to 25th. AutoZum is considered one of the most important trade fairs for the automotive and aftermarket industry in Austria, where leading brands present their products and innovations. In addition to the broad tyre line-up, there were other highlights at the trade fair: The Association of Tyre Specialists Austria (VRÖ) once again awarded prizes to the best tyre suppliers as part of the ‘Tyre Day’.

This year, Falken secured two prizes: First place in the truck sector and third place in the car sector went to the Japanese company. Günther Riepl, Senior Sales Director Austria, Swiss & Eastern Europe at Falken, accepted the coveted prizes from James Tennant, Chairman of VRÖ, Hermann Hladky, Treasurer of VDÖ, and Peter Wondraschek, Deputy Chairman of VRÖ, and stand out against against well-known competitors.

"The sales team in Austria has done a great job and the good cooperation between our sales team in Austria and our colleagues in Offenbach has also helped us to achieve our goals over the last two years, despite some hurdles. Our progress highlights the importance of reliable and well-coordinated cooperation for a successful future. This year's awards are a testament to the outstanding commitment of every employee and symbolize the company's growth," comments Günther Riepl on the award.

Falken Motorsports misses out on a podium finish after a strong performance

Falken Motorsports continues to be plagued by bad luck in the 2026 season of the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). At the 1st ADAC Eifel Trophy, the sixth race of the season on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the teal-and-blue No. 44 Porsche 911 GT3 R had to be retired shortly before the end of the race despite a convincing performance. Klaus Bachler and Tim Heinemann had been running in third place overall up to that point and were well on their way to a well-deserved podium finish.
