Falken Tyre Europe GmbH supports IHF Men’s Handball World Championship as 2025 event partner

Offenbach, den 5. December 2024 - Falken Tyre Europe GmbH is extending its successful collaboration with the International Handball Federation (IHF) by becoming an event partner to the 29th IHF Men’s World Championship – taking place in January 2025 and hosted by Denmark, Croatia and Norway.

The partnership, facilitated by SPORTFIVE – the exclusive marketer of global media and marketing rights for all IHF World Championships until 2031 – builds on Falken’s previous involvement with the 2023 IHF Men’s World Championship, held in Poland and Sweden.

Throughout the tournament, Falken’s branding will be prominently featured on LED boards at all venues, while the agreement will also see a Falken floor sticker in each of the goal areas – playing a central role in the visual identity of the event.

"The IHF is proud to welcome Falken to the 29th IHF Men's World Championship family,” says Dr. Hassan Moustafa, President of the IHF. “By joining us once again – following a very successful partnership at the previous edition of the IHF Men's World Championship – Falken proves its trust in handball, as we continue to build a fruitful, long-lasting partnership in collaboration with IHF TV and Marketing Rights Partner SPORTFIVE. We are certain that handball fans will recognise our shared penchant for quality, and the competition will bring extensive visibility throughout the tournament for Falken."

Highlighting Falken’s connection to the values of precision, performance and reliability – which are deeply embedded in the sport of handball – the partnership also underscores the growing appeal of handball as a platform for global brands to engage with passionate audiences worldwide.

“Handball represents accuracy, endurance and dynamism – values that are reflected in our tyres. As a sponsor, we connect athletic excellence with our commitment to safety and quality. Together with handball, we demonstrate that reliability makes the difference both on the court and on the road,” adds Markus Bögner, Managing Director, President and CSO of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH.

“We are excited to see Falken’s dynamic presence at the 29th IHF Men’s World Championship,” concludes Robert Müller von Vultejus, Chief Growth Officer at SPORTFIVE. “From visibility via the LED displays to the iconic floor branding in the goal circles, this partnership demonstrates how handball can deliver powerful exposure for premium brands. Together with the IHF, we are thrilled to bring Falken closer to the heart of the action and to millions of fans around the globe.”
