High 5 – Falken sets the standard with five year guarantee on all its tyres

Customers choosing Falken will now benefit from the added reassurance of a comprehensive five-year guarantee across its complete range of passenger car, SUV, light truck and truck tyres. This extensive guarantee also covers Falken’s OE factory fit tyres too. The simple and transparent process requires no registration, making it easy to manage and ensures both dealer and customer are compensated and ultimately satisfied.

Valid from the date of sale (or DOT code on the tyre where no receipt is available), all Falken’s tyres now carry an unlimited mileage guarantee against manufacturing defects for five years or until the tread depth measures two mm in one of the main tread grooves. In case of any claim, the dealer will inspect the tyre returning it to Falken’s technical service department.

If a defect is found, a credit to the dealer, calculated by mulitplying the purchase price by the remaining tread depth as a percentage of the original tread, up to two mm minimum, will be paid. On request, a new tyre can be supplied to replace tyres with more than 90 percent residual tread depth.

This amount is credited to the dealer who in turn, refunds its customer. A supplementary handling fee to cover expenses (analysis, fitting, tyre disposal, administration will ensure the dealer is fully compensated for its support. Exclusions include improper use such as incorrect air pressure, an overloaded tyre, misuse and accidental or external damage.

“Our tyres are developed and manufactured according to the strictest quality standards. Therefore, we are proud to offer our guarantee, which will set the standard within the industry,” explains Daniel Hupke, Manager Technical Service and Quality Assurance at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “What was most important to us was that we could offer our customers a strong and transparent guarantee promise, which we have achieved with a straightforward process. Furthermore, the administrative requirements on the dealer is minimised and in the best case they get many new customers who can trust in the quality of Falken tyres.”
