(SRI) is pleased to announce it has joined GDSO (the Global Data Service Organisation for Tyres and Automotive Components), an international not-for-profit organisation working to standardise data related to tyres and define solutions for accessing and exchanging tyre data. The tyre industry has been working to establish individual tyre identification and management starting with truck and bus tyres. As a member of GDSO from January 2023, the Sumitomo Rubber Group will be working to further these efforts while aligning with industry standards.

The Falken ZIEX ZE310 ECORUN was recently rated very positively in an exceptionally large-scale, independent test by the General German Automobile Club (ADAC): the results of the ADAC summer tyre test once again provide confirmation of the excellent work of the engineers and developers at Falken.

Low rolling resistance combined with good wet grip, reduced rolling resistance and minimal CO₂ emissions - these are the requirements for the tyre that has been specially developed for electric vehicles. However, these are properties that are also important for combustion tyres.

From 18th – 22nd October 2022, with a 100 square metre booth, Falken is attending the EQUIP AUTO 2022 trade fair in Paris, France, where it will present several highlights from its wide range of tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles and HGVs. Falken is owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., which is based in Japan and the fifth largest tyre maker in the world, with sales of over 116 million tyres per year.

When driving all-season tyres it is possible to save up to 815 euros; this is because the need for an extra set of winter tyres, the steel rims, the mounting and balancing as well as the storage are all omitted – such was the view of the testers in this year’s all-season tyre test in edition 39 of AUTO BILD magazine, which has been available since 29th September.

“Dynamic handling with precise lateral guidance and short braking distances on wet surfaces, good aquaplaning characteristics and a competitive price”: such are the attributes with which the Falken EUROALL SEASON AS210 achieved a test rating of “Good” in the AUTO BILD all-year tyre test, which was published in issue 10/2022. Eleven all-year tyres in the 225/50 R 18 dimension were put to the test on a BMW.
